Yes, apparently the Triple 6 Mafia is shopping a pilot cooking show to major networks called Cookin’ Ain’t Easy. If you watched Adventures in Hollyhood on MTV, which you probably didn’t, you would know that The Juice Man Gigalo and DJ Paul(the king of Memphis) can cook up some food. I, for one, will be pretty excited if this deal actually goes through. I’ve been a fan of Triple 6 for many years and Adventures in Hollyhood was a hilarious show that was under appreciated.
From allheadlinenews.com:
Rappers Three 6 Mafia are teaming up with reality producer Adam Briles for a new cooking show. DJ Paul and Juicy J of Three 6 Mafia will be bringing friends, fans and celebrity guests to the show filmed in their Hollywood mansion.
The new series “Cookin’ Ain’t Easy!” will have the two cooking everything from Indian, Italian, Asian, and Middle-Eastern to different types of food found across the world. There are sure to be some good laughs as the dinner parties and cooking tutorials combine with funny guests, cocktails and brutally honest critiques.
“It is a completely fresh approach to a cooking show,” said Briles in a press release. “You get much of the same take-away information that viewers expect from the genre, but it is served up in such a unique, relatable and funny way that it is just flat out entertaining.
And from the Juice Man:
“We’re not just cooking soul food like people might expect,” explained Juicy J. “We’re cooking Indian food, Italian, Asian, Middle Eastern food – all different inds of foods that people wouldn’t think we could cook. It’s a comedy, it’s funny and we love bringing people together for it.”
