Also, Shaya(pictured above) would be extremely disappointed in me if I didn’t share our traditional Chinese dinner. This dinner consisted of Moo Shu Pork, the “Chinese Trio”, Crab Rangoon, and egg nog(made with a whooooole lot of Bourbon).
I had never had Moo Shu Pork. Why didn’t anyone tell me that they give you little pancakes that function as little tortillas? Seriously, it was fantastic.
My food was, of course, covered in Sriracha. I believe Shaya used glitter as her go to condiment. She likes glitter. A lot.
Blacked out Sarah, who is becoming somewhat of a regular on Epic Portions, convinced me to go to Old Country Buffet a few weeks ago for the first time in years. This weekend we made a return visit after a long night of well.. blacking out. Regardless of the food quality, it’s always fun to go and observe the collection of people that include mostly older folks, overweight children, and Asians.
You also have to love a place where you can eat cheesy bacon potatoes, mashed potatoes, grilled cheese, macaroni and cheese, tacos, and enchiladas all in the same sitting. To make it even better, you can wash all this down with chocolate milk and Icees.
